Cabrogal to Fairfield City: A History of a Multicultural Community tells the story of how colonisers, migrants and indigenous people shaped Fairfield City into what it is today. The Cabrogal were the Sydney Aboriginal clan of the Darug people whose traditional lands were around Cabramatta Creek.
The cover of the book (Image of a stone axe marking the beginning of the Indigenous history of the area) was used to ensure that the Indigenous story was a primary focus for the publication, thus setting the scene for a chronological history that winds its way through the multicultural paths that make up the region today.
